March 2018

Culture, arts, breweries, food halls, sipping coffee outside in the middle of winter. Copenhagen is a vibrant city with numerous neighborhoods to explore and an electrifying energy which will make everyone fall in love with this place.

KATOWICE, PL

November 2017

Who's ever heard of Katowice? While it may not be the first (or any) city that comes to mind when thinking of Poland, it's a great place for a budget weekend trip. You've got history, delicious food, cheap shopping, tons of street art, great hotel, and Auschwitz nearby. Hop on a Wizz Air flight for a quick trip and check out this city unknown by many tourists.

LONDON, UK

September 2017

Full of everything you want but a bit spread out. You can do the tourist thing, stick to a hood each trip, or pack your itinerary full of exploration around the city. No matter what decision you make it will be entertaining and leave you wanting more.

MARFA, TX

July 2017

This is the perfect weekend getaway. It’s a small town with big art dreams. Plenty of art galleries a museums are here to fill your time. Don't stick to the main streets and you will find some hidden restaurants and bars with good vibes.

NEW MEXICO

July 2017

The Land of Enchantment is an understatement. The New Mexico motto captures exactly the feeling I got when visiting. You can experience desert, mountains, sand, dry, hot & cold, city and nature. White sands brought spirituality to another level. This state just might be my favorite.

DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, USA

July 2017

What's not to love about the Florida sunshine and beaches? Delray Beach takes it up a notch with the ultimate chill destination spot and a foodie paradise. There are many reasons why this has become my favorite locale in Florida and I've listed a few top ones to convince you to make this your next vacation.

June 2017

A city that has everything. This history is evident in the architecture yet you can also see modern architects making their mark on the old city. Easy to walk the city center with plenty to do there. The beach, yet outside of the city, is a peaceful getaway making Valencia the perfect mix of city and sea.

May 2017

The outdoor lovers dream. Central Florida is packed with natural beauty to explore. There are numerous springs and rivers in which you can swim, kayak, canoe, paddle board, tube etc. Some of the best hiking and biking trails in the US are right here. On top of all of this it's surrounded by slow and quiet towns that are easy to kick back and relax in while visiting. Not to mention you can get authentic soul food or Mexican to your hearts delight.

May 2017

My heart is in Philly and yours will be too if you experience even half of this list. Its a city that offers you everything that NYC has but in a smaller space with less people. It is a hidden gem of a city that many people don't consider when vacationing. You will have endless options of museums, free events and delicious restaurants and thousands of amazing photos to remember it all.

May 2017

This is not a typical travel tip blog. This is mainly for the IKEA family of mine that travels to this small town but struggles to get here or find something to do here. Please use this as a guide to make your stay easier and more enjoyable. Feel free to share it with your colleagues too.

April 2017

A small city made for shoppers. Easy to walk the city center but tons of fun exploration lies just outside of the center. This is an easy town to visit over the weekend or add to your Switzerland trip.

April 2017

History at every turn. You can't help but be in awe of the old buildings and ruins that you pass. On top of that you have some of the best food at your fingertips and a shopping street that can keep you busy for an entire day. This is the perfect place for every type of traveler (except maybe gluten free or no carb folks you guys are missing out).

April 2017

A city filled with everything at your fingertips. It is inexpensive or luxury or whatever you want in between. Easy transportation and many things to do and see. It is cleaner and more modern than many Asian cities and with a large expat network. You will easily fall in love with Hong Kong. Watch out, you may even want to move there :)

January 2017.

One of the best destinations to see the Northern Lights and experience life above the Arctic Circle. Small town vibes but lots of activities available. Just make sure to save up some serious cash and remind yourself that seeing the Northern Lights is no guarantee.

January 2017.

Lima is full of culture, kindness and beauty. Fresh local food is abundant but so is multicultural fusion foods from all of the mixed cultures living in Lima. A walk through certain neighborhoods can give you a picture back in time with the architecture yet it placed adjacent to modern street art. The perfect balance of city and beach town.

December 2016.

Machu Picchu is a World Heritage site so its no surprise the wonder and beauty you will experience. The trip here can be short, easy and pricey or it can be longer, arduous and cheap and everything in between. This is what makes this trip a unique experience to each. What shouldn't be forgotten is the Sacred Valley while on the way to Machu Picchu. Lots of history and local goods to check out.

June 2016.

Whether you are looking for the big city excitement or the tropical beach chill Thailand is for you. My review includes both options for you to compare (or do both like me). One thing you should prepare yourself for is to eat truly local fare. Stop eating at chains and pick an alleyway to explore. You will not be disappointed.

December 2015.

Agadir is ideal if you want to avoid the crowd of Marrakech or Casablanca. Its a nice small town and easy to walk. Hotels are inexpensive but the food is typical hotel prices. The town has relaxing activities and its also close to many fun day trips to experience for a low price. Argan oil, goats in trees and many other unique Moroccan experiences await.

October 2015.

Berlin, a city full of everything; history, culture, food, experiences. You will easily find many things to make this a memorable experience.

September 2015.

A small old industrial town with a lot of modern design. A walkable city center with great local shops and biking distance to beautiful nearby towns worth checking out. We booked our weekend here based on cheap flights without knowing anything about the town but it ended up being one of our most memorable vacations.

July 2015.

An abundance of things to do and a vacation that spans the smallest to largest of budgets. You can get a relaxing beach vacation, a hiking and climbing nature vacation, a tea plantation and factory tour, or a city and history vacation. Each town and region has their own unique experience worth checking out.

May 2015

The second largest city in Sweden, in my opinion, is the best city in Sweden. The locals of Gothenburg tend to be a bit more laid back than the rest of their fellow Swedes. Its got plenty of different neighborhoods to explore, easy enough by bike. There is also an amusement park and a football (soccer) stadium to see some crazy fun matches.

June 2015

What's not to love about Moscow? An abundance of things to see and do. The language barrier can be tough at times but the food, bargains and beauty that you find makes the struggle worth it. Gorky Park has enough activities to keep oneself busy for an entire weekend. There is also an outdoor market that is a must do. You can find beautiful handmade carpets for little money and they fold into an IKEA blue bag! This makes for a perfect carry on.

June 2015

The best part of Tokyo is the fact that you can do and see anything with millions of other people yet its one of the most organized group of people in the world. The train systems average train delay is 13 seconds! yes SECONDS! There is structure to everything and boy does it feel good when you are in a city with millions. There are tons of design stores. Don't forget to check out UNIQLO and MUJI in their flagship stores. you'll spend a whole day there.

June 2015

Another place to find everything and if not, have it made. You can get custom clothing made, eat your heart out at street vendors, glam up the night with any stop in the French Concession, shop til you drop at any of the markets, or relax at the millions of spas. Just be prepared for some smog and noise. It is truly a fun city for every budget.
